The region of Catalonia has about 580 km of coastline divided into 4 main coasts Costa Brava, Costa Maresme, Costa Garraf and Costa Dorada each one with its own characteristics, e.g. Costa Brava is famous for its rocky coves and Costa Dorada for its golden sandy beaches. There are also numerous ski resorts in the Pyrenees thus one can enjoy snow and the sea during the same day. Also some municipalities are important cultural destinations, e.g. Sitges is famous for its Carnival and the cinema festival; Figueres, located on the north of the region, for Dali Museum.
